So they basically told me to go talk to people involved in art and video games. Will do.
But for a computer science minor I’m almost there. I’ll just need three more EECS classes basically.
but I have no concentration.
The Art and Design program at U of M is some big giant interdisciplinary thing, so I’m not sure that’s where I want to go… So this may mean a transfer is in the near future…. But I don’t want to get into something that I end up not wanting again.
Well, this summer, I’m just going to make a portfolio, draw my little heart out, and see if this is something I really want.
Computer animation, character design, 3d modeling, 3d design… it all sounds so interesting.
Who knew I would go into the art direction? Me of all people. Wow.

The nice thing about art programs is they make you start broad and then pick your concentration after a year or two. First year in an art school you get almost zero choice in classes- it’s all the basics. So you’ll have time you find what you like!
